Real Intent Expands Executive Staff

Hires new senior technologist and promotes from within to prepare for next level of business growth

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Jan. 14, 2015

Real Intent, Inc., whose advanced verification solutions accelerate electronic design sign-off, eliminate complex failures in SoCs, and lead the market in performance, capacity, accuracy and completeness, today announced it has expanded its executive staff to prepare for its next level of business growth. Oren Katzir has joined the company as vice president of Application Engineering, Vishnu Vimjam has been promoted to Chief Architect, and Ramesh Dewangan has been promoted to vice president of Product Strategy and Business Development.

Oren Katzir, Vice President of Application Engineering

Oren leads Real Intent’s Application Engineering (AE) team that supports the sales team and customers. He brings to his new position more than 15 years of experience in engineering management, SoC and ASIC design, and development of SoC design tool flows. Prior to Real Intent, Oren was an engineering manager at Intel for nearly four years, where he led a top-notch team of SoC engineers. His career includes an earlier role as director of application engineering at Real Intent. He also served in engineering management positions at Sagantec, Silicon Design Systems, Transchip and Silicon Value. Oren holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering from Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.

Dr. Vishnu Vimjam, Chief Architect

Dr. Vishnu Vimjam has more than a decade of experience in developing state-of-the-art EDA verification tools. As chief architect, Vishnu applies his deep technical knowledge, close attention to detail and expert knowledge of customers’ challenging verification needs to architect Real Intent’s world-class solutions for accelerating RTL sign-off. He began his career as a formal verification R&D engineer at Real Intent nearly eight years ago, following consecutive summer internships at Intel, and quickly became engineering manager. He holds an engineering degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Ramesh Dewangan, Vice President of Product Strategy

In his new role, Ramesh is responsible for Real Intent’s overall product strategy – managing its offerings, defining new products and solutions, maintaining the roadmap, and overseeing quality assurance and business development. Prior to joining Real Intent nearly a year ago as vice president of Application Engineering, Ramesh held management positions at Atrenta Inc., Cadence, Tera Systems, Synopsys and Texas Instruments. He holds an MBA degree from the Walter A. Haas School of Business, University of California; and a bachelor of technology degree in electronics from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, India.
